Welcome, nice to meet you!
My name is Ashley and I am the face behind the blog.
Vibing with Life and I have gone through many phases of growth, and moved through many versions over our respective lifetimes. So, welcome to what has come to be, and what will forever be evolving. This is a place of welcoming acceptance, understanding, and healing – a place where I hope we can all safely learn, grow, and heal together.
Now, I know your curiosity is aching to know who Ashley is, hence your presence on this page. I am quite happy to oblige with some fun facts about me!
I’m dangerously close to 30 years old, I’m engaged, and I have one fur child. I was born and raised in eastern Massachusetts, lived in Arizona for two years, and am now back in Mass, missing Arizona deeply. If I could pick all my family and friends up and place them within the borders or Arizona, I absolutely would. I loved it. It would probably be prudent to note that I love the heat, hate the cold, and am always cold. I have a running joke that I’m a reptile because I’m cold blooded, someone once told me I have raptor toes, and I can produce a pretty convincing raptor noise. Idk, you do the math.
I love to write. I have published one poetry book, and plan on continuing my publishing journey.
Check out Written in Silence here!
My favorite animal is elephants, to the point where I’m noticeably obsessed. Though, my passion and love for dogs throws a loop in that fact. If you don’t count dogs, elephants take the prize. I can’t have a pet elephant though, soooo there’s that.
I love nature and therefore love hiking, camping, road-tripping, and exploring. I’m a pisces and water definitely heals me. Swimming, boating, kayaking… literally anything that involves water and I am a happy little clam.
I’m terrified of spiders, I swear almost every time I speak, I’ll take the stairs over the elevator every time (and not for health reasons), I love to dance (don’t expect it to be graceful), Ghost Adventures is my trash TV and I love every second of it, I believe in aliens, and I’m an introvert until I know you. Then, I’m what I like to call: the best kind of crazy.
On that note, I have struggled with depression and anxiety for many years. I have experienced traumas that altered the trajectory of my life, and the way my brain saw the world. Unfortunately, I’m sure too many of you can relate to that. However, that eventually led to my diving into personal growth, healing, and simply learning about myself and the way my brain works.
This turned into a few different ventures throughout my journey, one of which being this blog. Vibing With Life was born to share it all – the good, the bad, and the ugly. It is a testament to the ups and downs, the ebbs and flows, the positives and the negatives. It has grown with me, and shown me how much I have grown. Now, it shifts, evolves, and grows with me again.
I will continue to share the steps and the phases along my healing journey. I will share the growth and the hardships, keeping the original integrity of Vibing With Life intact. However, speaking of integrity, the entire point is change. To truly vibe with life, and continue to do so, we must evolve with it.
That being said, the blog has undergone its own personal development. Including a new area of focus which is very close to my heart… dogs! I have worked professionally with dogs on and off for over a decade, and when we moved back to Massachusetts in 2022, I made my career choice permanent. I also gained a beautiful pitbull fur-child in Arizona, and boy, has this kiddo taught me a lot.
Dog Vibes will focus on all things canine education. Our four legged friends are such important parts of our lives, and for many of us, they are our literal children. I know we all want to give them the absolute best, while also helping ourselves in the process. I would love to help you and your fur baby live your happiest and best lives together. That is why I’m sharing all I have learned from my years as a dog owner and a dog handler.
I am not a trainer (yet, I hope to go for a certification). I am simply a friendly dog owner who has been around the block and learned a thing or two from kennels, daycares, dog walking, and general animal care. The dogs deserve the best, and the best owners want to give their dogs the best.
All that being said, join me for the journey of Vibing With Life! Take what resonates with you and leave what doesn’t. I know we are all different, but I also know that at our cores, we are all striving for the same things. Health, healing, happiness, inner peace, tacos.
I’m glad you’re here,
With love, light & good vibes,
Ash
